Standard In-Orbit Test System
The Standard In-Orbit Test System provides satellite operators and manufacturers with in-orbit spacecraft transponder measurements, processing and control software, and proven hardware design. By using commercial, off-the-shelf hardware and easily customized descriptive data files, IOT Systems is able to deliver high-quality, field-tested in-orbit test systems against tight schedules.
In-Orbit System functions include in-orbit acceptance testing, routine payload monitoring, and anomaly investigation. The standard in satellite payload in-orbit test (IOT) systems.
IOT Systems has successfully used Standard In-Orbit Test System methods on all of the DIRECTV, Galaxy, SBS, Sirius Satellite Radio, HotBird, Eutelsat II satellites, as well as the AMSC and ACeS mobile satellites.
Communications Satellite Monitoring (CSM) Systems
The IOT Systems Communications Satellite Monitoring System continuously monitors satellite spectra and notifies the satellite operator of any system degradation. The configurable system operates in a standalone mode, integrates as a measurement and processing network node in a larger system, expands functionality of the Standard In-Orbit Test System, or works as a temporary remote monitoring site in its portable configuration.
Earth Station Facilities Design, Engineering, Instillation and Support
IOT Systems provides on-site engineering in support of implementation, modification and upgrade of earth stations around the world. IOT Systems offers comprehensive, cost-effective solutions and expert customer support including on-site training.
Antenna Verification Program
The Antenna Verification Program, developed by IOT Systems personnel under then COMSAT Laboratories, provides an accurate and efficient method for verifying the performance of earth station antennas.
The AVP system measures antenna parameters such as radiation patterns, gain, system temperature profiles, radio star gain-to-noise temperature ratio (G/T) and gain, cross-polarization isolation contours, and effective isotropically radiated power (EIRP) stability. A personal computer using Microsoft Windows is used to monitor, control and record data from a variety of commonly available test equipment.
Ka-Band Radiometer Systems
With its COMSAT Laboratories heritage, IOT Systems has substantial experience in designing and fabricating radiometers as well as interpreting the data collected. Radiometers built by IOT Systems/COMSAT have been in operation throughout the world for the last 15 years.
